Parisienne Debuts this Summer

New scent from YSL Celebrates The City of Light

It’s too late for April in Paris, so how about August? This summer, YSL Parfums will launch Parisienne, its first major fragrance since L’Oréal acquired the brand — and YSL Beauté — in July 2008. Company executives hope Parisienne can rival the success of Opium, YSL’slong-running blockbuster scent.

The scent, described as woody floral, will be promoted by Kate Moss and will be targeted to women in their 30s.

YSL has high hopes for the fragrance. In fact, industry sources put first year sales at $70 million, an extremely high number considering the current economic climate.
